My Future Part 3

Hey everyone! Today I’m doing this mainly because I have a new barn layout (I might be doing most of these just because of that 😋). I got sick of the old one, and I had different ideas. I’m also going to write the list of things I want in the barn as well as some other things. So let’s get started! By the way if you haven’t read my other future posts, here they are: part 1, part 2

The New Barn Layout

I hope you can see it alright, please tell me if you can’t.

• The boarder’s closets are basically closets for boarders. It will have places for tack, food, etc.
• The stalls in front of the small pen/pastures, are open to the outside, but still have a roof over the walkway, I think they are called shedrow stalls.
• The upstairs tack shop is above the arena, still under the arena roof but in walls, like an upstairs.
• The area with the stairs would look like this:

Stalls will look something like this, with black bars on the top, and dark wood on the bottom like the top photo, and walls in between the stalls like the bottom photo.

And boarder’s closets will look something like this:

Things I want in the Barn

• Brick exterior
• Rubber brick for floors
• Any trim will be a creamy white
• Interior Stall Doors – Swinging doors for stalls, same color as the rest of the stall
• Exterior Stall Doors – Black and creamy white dutch doors
• Laundry a machine and dryer
• Heating and cooling in the indoor arena
• 6 – 7 outdoor arenas
• Sand for all arenas
• ComfortStall Flooring System for stall floors
• Grooming areas
• Wash stalls with heated water
• Sprinkler system throughout the whole barn
• Separate sprinkler system for indoor arena (for easy watering)
• Tie ring in every stall
• Nameplate and feeding schedule on every stall
• Security cameras
• Cameras in foaling stalls
• Intercom system
• Storage boxes and saddle racks on every stall
• Good lighting and ventilation\
• Clean aisles

List of Random Things

This is a list of things I want to have in the the barn, but aren’t related to building. You’ll get it. Hunter Green and Royal Blue are our main colors, so I’m going to abbreviate them as H.G. and R.B.

• All H.G. and R.B. lead ropes and halters
• All H.G. and R.B. saddle pads with our logo embroidered on
• Nameplates on all halters and bridles
• Grooming kit for each horse
• All All-Purpose saddles in dark brown
• All snaffle bits (unless otherwise needed)
• All black helmets
• Silver for all embroidery thread color
• Halter, bridle, saddle, and saddle pad for each horse
• No treat signs on stalls that need them
• Show names for all horses
• Pine sawdust for bedding
• All black buckets

Things I Want to Happen in Everyday Barn Life

• Stalls cleaned every day
• All animals groomed every day
• Arenas raked twice a week
• Indoor arena watered every day
• Buckets cleaned weekly
• Tack cleaned weekly
