My Dolls

So lately I’ve been reading My Life in Miniature, by FillieFanatic. I absolutely LOVE her blog!! Please check her out here: https://mylifeinminiature.com/. I’ve been very inspired by her to bring out my dolls, and start to make them some stuff. So, first of all, let’s meet my dolls! I have two:

but I really only play with this one, because I let my sister play with the other one.

The only thing that is wrong with these dolls is that they don’t have names! I have of course had them for many years, and have named them on and off, but nothing ever seemed to stick. So, does anybody have any ideas? What are your favorite names?

Anyways, on to what I made for them! I made a good pattern for pants by sizing down a baby doll pants pattern, and they came out really good, I think!

Yes I know my doll has no arm, but I do have it somewhere and am working on finding it.

The only thing I have to do for the pants is add an elastic waistband, because it’s a little loose. It’s not really a problem though, so I might just not worry about it.

So we went out of town for this past weekend to my Nana’s house. She is a seamstress, and so she has a lot of sewing stuff, so naturally, we sewed of course! Anyways, I brought my dolls and some of my classics.

After some fun in the leaves, she went for an adventure with Buddy.

A little rest while Buddy takes a bite.

Buddy was a bit unsure about the fire…

Then Buddy got a bit of free time…

After that we carved some pumpkins.

Here’s mine:

My sister’s:

And my brother’s:

The next day, Everyone got to stretch their legs in a nice big pasture.

While they were doing that, I made some new saddle pads. They were my first ever, and I think they came out really well. I made the pattern myself by tracing around a Breyer one I had, and making it a bit bigger, as I feel that they are a little small.

Starshower and Coffee were willing to model them.

Of, course Pepper had to come along too!

Had to take them for a test ride of course!

I also made this one. This one has padding, while the other ones are just a single piece of fabric. It looks like my real one!

Doesn’t he look handsome?

So something else I made about a week ago, I think, was some mini lead ropes. I make these all the time using the tutorial here from Desktop Stables. I use the second method. I’ve been making them for a few years now I think, and I mainly just do it for the fun of making up color combinations. Anyways, I made some in the colors of the Hogwarts houses. They came out really good.

Ravenclaw started to unravel because the jump ring came off, but that’s an easy fix.

And that’s about it! I hope you enjoyed, and I hope you’ll look forward to more adventures of my dolls and horses!

  1. I absolutely love all of your pictures! I used to do the same thing with my Barbies, dress them, pose them, and then take pictures! My favorite picture is the one with her riding into the sun with her arms spread out. You have many talents as seen in this post! And yes, your grandma is a great seamstress!
