Tutorial! (finally)

Hey everyone! I finally have another tutorial for you! This one is for miniature covered boxes, that you can turn into really anything you want! These ones I’ve turned into packages like those you get in the mail. I was originally going to make them red, white, and blue, so they looked like they came from the USPS, but it didn’t really work out, plus, I like this style better anyways. So, all that said, here’s the tutorial!

To make your cute little boxes, start by gathering these things:

  • A small candy box
  • Rope that you can take apart, or very small twine
  • A glue stick
  • Thin paper, it can be any color you’d like, but if you use really thin paper, you might need to do two layers to cover the designs.
  • Clear tape
  • Scissors
  • A pencil (optional)

Start by wrapping you box in the paper. You basically have to wrap it like your wrapping a present. I like to tape the first fold to make it easier to wrap.

Once you’ve done your first fold, glue the second fold down.

Now, fold in the ends, gluing/taping where you need to.

Your box should look like this now:

Nice and neat.

Now, take your rope and pull off a piece that’s small enough to tie a round your box.

Tie it around your box, starting by placing the top of the box face-down on the rope, and tying it on the bottom…

…and around to the top.

You can add the addresses with pencil, pen, or even marker. You could add a stamp if you wanted too.

And there you go! Cute little parcels! I’m going to make some more to turn into Christmas presents next!

Hope you enjoyed!
