Gift Ideas for Your Pets

I’m sure we all like giving new things to our pets, and Christmas is the perfect time to overload them with new goodies. Here is a list of things I’ve given to my pets over the years as well as new things I want to try this year! Of course I don’t have a horse to give balls too though. 😊

Food/Treats

For dogs you can get bones, cookies, cakes, and even just regular food, all in Christmas colors and flavors.

• For cats you can get the same as dogs (minus the bones, of course).

• For guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters, you can get lots of red and green veggies, as well as treats.

• Chickens can eat basically anything, so if you want to sort out your red an green scraps, go ahead! Mealworms are also a favorite.
• And for horses, peppermints and candy canes are always good. Although one horse at my barn (who I’m going to start share-boarding) won’t eat them! You can also get salt licks if they don’t have one yet.

Toys!

• Dogs and cats are easy! Just go to the store and look through the large selection of Christmas themed toys! You can also get them just regular toys so they can have them all year long.

• Guinea pigs love to snuggle and curl up to sleep, so as long as your piggie doesn’t chew it, a little bed is perfect! (make sure it’s machine washable!) And it’s so cute! They also love to chew (obviously), and this little wooden Christmas tree is also very cute!

• Rabbits and hamsters are pretty much the same with chewing, not so much cuddling in beds, maybe hamsters, but yeah…😊

• Chickens love food more than anything else, BUT, if you want to get them something else, swings and mirrors are good. They also like feeder toys.

Costumes/Sweaters/Hats! (if your pet will tolerate them)

• Horses

Ok, ok, you can really put a Santa hat on anything.😊

Well, that’s all for today, I hope I gave you some ideas! I know I got some ideas, like dressing Sugar Cookie up in a Santa hat, hmmm….. I need to get Santa hats in every size, stat!
