NOTE: This is an old post about some Easter stuff I did back in 2022. I didn’t post this originally because I never finished taking the pictures for it, and it was gonna be late anyways. I’m posting it now because I think these little eggs came out really adorable, and I wanted to share them with you. Just keep in mind while reading that this is old, and that it’s missing a few pictures!
Hello everyone! Today I have two different miniature egg designs that I made, a little late, but that’s alright. Similar to last years, when I made some little clay eggs, this year I made more eggs out of clay, but added a few more details.
The first are little speckled eggs, which I have been wanting to do for a while. Actually, I think I meant to do this to last year’s eggs, but never got around to it 😅. But they did come out really cute, and they look better than I thought they would.
So, I started off by just making plain eggs out of my clay. I made quite a few, with a variety of colors, including some gold ones as you can see, which I did not speckle.

Then I brought them outside to splatter with some dark brown paint. I used a toothbrush, which I think worked pretty well, although I had to use a lot of paint to get the type of specks that I wanted. But it’s not like I’m a professional paint splatterer either, so I don’t know 😜.

Anyways, then I just let them dry, and they came out great!
The other kind I did was some chocolate eggs. I made some brown chocolate looking clay. It was a bit of a challenge, and I mixed a lot of colors until I realized black mixed with a chestnut brown color, came out almost perfect.

The whole reason I even did these ones was because I was cleaning out my easter basket, and saw the many foil chocolate wrappers, and I thought that mini chocolate eggs would be adorable. So, I flattened them out, and then just wrapped tiny little pieces onto the mini eggs. It worked quite well.

And with all these little eggs, I set up an Easter egg hunt in my dollhouse, with an Easter basket just overflowing with candy!
And that will be all! Thanks for reading!

Super sweet, Faye! I’m glad you decided to post even though they’re old pics. Totally worth it.
